On both my iMac (Snow Leopard) and Macbook Air (Mountain Lion), when I go to System Preferences Desktop/Screen Saver and then look on the left side of the window, I see three file labels. One is Apple for the default pictures, one is iPhoto, and the last is Folders with subfiles one of which is called Pictures. In the Preview app on your Mac, open the file you want to change. Do any of the following: Rotate an image: Select the image, then click (or use the Touch Bar) to rotate the image to the left.Continue clicking to keep rotating. To rotate the image to the right, press and hold the Option key and click until you're done rotating the image. Flip an image: Choose Tools Flip. Hi all, I am a macbook newbie and I was trying to change the default background image on the logon screen, but unfortunately, the changes weren't reflected when I rebooted. I replaced the defaultdesktop image in the Core Services folder and authenticated the change. Any help on where I could.
